Canonical Identifiers

Canonical IDs are lowercase English snake_case values or lowercase scientific formula IDs. They are independent of workbook row positions and VBA indexes.

  • Plants: intensive_grass, extensive_grass, maize_silage, maize_cobs, potatoes, beets, beet_leaves, winter_barley, summer_barley, winter_wheat, summer_wheat, rye, oats, leafy_vegetables, root_vegetables, fruiting_vegetables, orchard_fruit, berries, turf.
  • Animals: cow, sheep, goat, fattening_cattle, pig, broiler_chicken, laying_hen, calf, lamb, deer.
  • Soil types: arable, intensive_pasture, extensive_pasture.
  • Nuclides: formula IDs such as cs_137, i_131, and te_132_i_132.
  • Elements: lowercase symbols such as cs, with the case-correct symbol stored separately.
  • Materials: one identity is reused when a plant is also a raw feed or food. Processed feeds, foods, and animal products have independent English IDs.
  • Organs and environments: explicit English IDs replace German labels and positional vectors.

legacy_alias is the only identity table intended to contain German import labels. It exists for provenance and compatibility validation, not clean-model lookup. See export_excel_data/IDENTITY_MAP.md for the complete import mapping.
